Geocache Description:

lone outcropping of rock, no trail, great view of valley and Heughes Canyon.

Cache is a red can with a latch. Contains logbook, couple of knives,Sharktooth Fossil, other stuff. Note that I did not get to this area from Heughes Canyon. It is apparently quite close to Hidden Canyon Creek Cache. If you try to get to it from there, let me know how it is! I parked on Crestmount Circle, (N 40* 38.163 W 111* 47.618), (look for 3 life-size giraffe sculptures!) and walked up a dirt road that goes to a water tower, then headed East up the hill. I found this spot on my way down from exploring a route to a spring,(didn't get to the spring yet), and this spot was begging for a geocache! It is a lone outcropping of rock maybe 10 feet high. The South side of it has polished/scratched look, that I am guessing was caused by a glacier. It looks kind of like the rocks near Lakes Blanche, Florence, and Lillian. East of this spot is a beautiful grassy area with a few pine trees, nice wildflowers, that would be a great place to camp!
