Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Langum Park. The final cache is a 1.2 Pt. Rubbermaid container located about 550 feet from the posted coordinates. I've stocked this container with a few trinkets to trade.

At the posted coordinates you will find a large rock with a plaque which states "Commissioned by President Abraham Lincoln September 1861. Training grounds for the Eighth Illinois cavalry regiment of the Potomac. Colonel John Farnsworth Commander" On this plaque you will find the year that the St. Charles Historical Society dedicated the plaque. Let that year equal ABCD in the formula below which takes you to the cache. N 41 54.(DxD-A)(D-2)(Dx2) W 88 18.(B-C)(A+D)(C-D-D) I placed this cache for the 2003 picnic and the cache name came from the rubber stamp that I had in the cache for the picnic plus from the fact that this site was referred to as Camp Kane in the Civil War era.
