Grumpy Multi-Cache

Leek: Cache Permanently Archived in Protest...

I will be transferring this cache's details to the geocaching.com.au site and several other global cache sites very soon...

Personally I don't like the way that geocaching.com plays the game!!!

See http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=88291 for further reasons...

Geocache Description:

Grumpy

A fairly straightforward multi-cache on the banks of Lane Cove River.

Cache Information

  • This cache forms part of Bear_Left's Snow White & the Seven Dwarves Series. It contains a clue card for the Grumpy dwarf in the log-book zip-loc bag and this will help to lead you to the final cache in the series: Bear_Left's "Happily Ever After" cache.
  • The Grumpy cache is a 5 litre plastic container and initially contained some music CDs and a few other goodies...

Cache Instructions

  • At WP1, you will find a five digit number. Add the first 2 digits of the number together and subtract the result from the decimals of the WP1 Easting to get the Easting for WP2 (The WP2 Southing is the same as for WP1). e.g. If the sum of the first 2 digits was 5, you should subtract .005 from the .135 in the East coordinate.
Once you've found WP2, it should be plain sailing...
  • Take the high road or the low road - both should get you to the cache... The low road is probably nicer though...

Location Information

  • There is a well-defined track to the cache although the ground may be a bit muddy and slippery after heavy rain
  • According to signs in the area: "The park contains estuarine vegetation of Swamp She-Oaks, Mangroves and rushes combined with Sydney Sandstone gully forests of Black Butt, Red Gum & Red Bloodwood"
