The new Millbrae BART station is open. One of the unplanned for results is THE BEST view of the San Francisco International Airport’s runways. Find the Cache and enjoy the view.
For a fun ride take BART to the Airport, ride on the free AirTrain (very much like a horizontal elevator), enjoy the artwork at both the BART station (the sculptures and benches) and the Airport (actually a recognized museum). The total cost of the ride, to and from SFO, is $3.00. While you are inside the Millbrae BART station be sure to check out both platforms.
The BART parking lot is NEW. No oil stains, still a rough surface. Parking is now free.
Oh, and while you are there look for the CalTrain - Millbrae (GCG15P) cache. It's only a short walk away. On the other side of the station.
If you are going to stay for a while and watch airport operations please check in with the BART Station Agent. I haven't had any problems if I checked in and told the Agent that I was watching the Airport. With current security concerns checking in is a VERY GOOD IDEA.
