Butterfly Dance Traditional Cache
Adventuring Lovers: Oops... thought Hubby archived this a few weeks ago. This was a cache that his sister put out and we took over when she passed away. Unfortunately it's too far away for us to maintain. Thank you to all who have come looking for it. Dawne's dancing with the butterflies herself now. [^]

Pleasant walk along a section of the Erie Canal Park.
While in New Orleans, we picked up a "baby" at a cache in Audubon Park. The concept of this cache was to follow the Mardis Gras tradition of having whoever gets the "baby" in their piece of king cake, provide the next cake, or in this case, the next cache. We have included some babies in this cache as well. If you choose to take a baby, please put out a new cache. There are also items available for regular cache trading, no obligation to take a baby when you find this cache.
There is a butterfly house in Ryder Park in De Witt. We had planned on hiding the cache there, but couldn't find a suitable place, so we migrated like a monarch on down the canal. The butterfly house is free, open 10 AM - 4 PM, if you are interested in taking a look.
The cache is hidden along the towpath, in an area off the trail, hidden from the eyes of fellow hikers/bicyclists. It is a traditional ammo can filled with butterfly items.
We found ample parking at N 43 02.601, W 76 02.252. There are bathroom facilities, picnic tables and some information signs here as well. Oh, and I learned what a widewater was!
