Located on well established trails except for the last few hundred yards on open granite. (Requires some care, but a 66-year-old with two new hips made it without difficulty.)
This cache is located near Salmon Lake in the high Sierras just under 7,000 feet elevation. There are two good trails to the lake: One leaves the Big Bend ranger station just off I80 and is a good climb (rate this 5 stars). The trail head of the other less rigorous trail is located off Huysink Road above Lake Valley reservoir (rate this 3.5 stars).
The cache is in an ammunition box and contains the usual dollar store items. This is a very popular area so the cache must continue to be well hidden.
