Clover Leaf Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bilder: Got a call yesterday. A woman found what was left of this cache scattered along the side of the road at Artic and International. It had been rained on and the contents soaked. Thank goodness I painted my phone number on the container. No travel bugs are in the remains. The log is drying out, but is in pieces. This cache has had a good run, but I fear that the homeless camp that was abandoned when I first placed the cache has been reactivated. Too much risk of more muggles, so I will archive this one for good.

Geocache Description:

The luck O the Irish is calling ye to find the lost treasure of the ages!

Many years ago a Leprechaun left his homeland in search of a hiding place for his treasures.  After many years of searching he finally found a land with the beauty and splendor to match the treasures he sought to hide.

This land would become known as.....

Alaska

In this land of mountains and lakes, our little Leprechaun searched for the perfect spot to hide his wealth. After searching high and low, he finally come upon something that reminded him of his homeland.  It was here he hid his cache of goods, out of sight, yet close to the port of air in case the time came for him to retrieve his treasure and return home to the land of the Blarney Stone and mugs of stout.

The treasure is hidden in a clover leaf.  Not the green lush clover leaves of Ireland.  This clover leaf is as big and strong as the land in which it resides.  Made of steel and concrete, it is meant to last the ages, providing a way for weary travelers to find their way along the roads of life.

Now beware, the Leprechaun is said to still keep watch over his treasure.  Be wary of drawing attention to thou search or the Leprechaun is likely to appear and turn ye into a tree.  Use caution and the Leprechaun will let thou visit his cache unaltered. Show thou respect and sign the book of legend.  If thou cannot resist the treasure, the Leprechaun may allow ye to remove items from his hoard if ye leave him one of thou treasures in it's stead. The Leprechaun does ask that ye use the camera to leave a picture of thou and thy compatriots during thou stay. Treasure be in a metal box of grey color.

The treasure is rumored to be items of wonder and awe, such as:

Geocaching.com Compass/Keychain
Book of Legend (Log Book)
Old Roman Coins
Various Foreign Coins
Mini Flashlight
Mini Tupperware Gadgets
Bouncy Balls
Geocaching Letter
and other assorted goodies

For visitors to the nearby port of air, consult the clue for thou path to the cache. Use the paved bike/jogging path and park in designated areas only. Cache has been plundered in the past, so use caution and hide it well when you leave.

Go now! The treasure calls ye!
