I used to be too busy to stop and read Historical Markers. Since I started caching I've learned a lot more about local history.
Historical Fact: Charleston Utah got its name from William Winterton and a friend. Reportedly they gave Charleston its name when a postman who delivered the mail by horseback from Provo to Heber said, "If you boys would give me a name for this place I could bring the mail to you." After discussing several names they decided they liked Charleston the best.
