Note: Memorial was rebuilt sometime in late 2004 after being vandalized in September 2003. This cache was reactivated with different clues in March 2004.
This is a two-part cache. Finding the final cache requires a roundtrip walk of 0.6 mile. Cache is completely hidden. After finding the cache you may want to continue around the 0.75 mile loop through the woods back to the parking lot. Because of the memorial at the first coordinates, the initial contents are all patriotic. If possible, please keep with the theme of the cache and trade patriotic items only.
The initial contents consist of the following red, white, and blue items: flags, flag decals, flag pins, window clings, bear, noisemaker, light-up pens, krazy straw, writing pads, inflatable can cooler,sunglasses, Uncle Sam, beads, flashlight, yoyo, pencils, magnets, stickers, bandana, and magnetic note pad.
Step 1: Go to the coordinates at the top of the page.
Step 2: Count the number of benches.
Step 3: Count the number of stones on the ground to your right.
Step 4: Count the number of stars on the plaque placed within the outline of Georgia.
Step 5: Count the number of Statues of Liberty.
Now use the information you have recorded as follows:
A= the number from step 2 added to the last digit of the latitude at the top of the page.
B= the number from step 3 divided by 2.
C= the odd digit from step 4.
D= the number from step 5.
