Queenfish's Holiday Cache: 4th of July Traditional Cache

I placed this cache at the rest stop near Hurricane on I-64 West. It's not far from where "Take A Rest Going West" was hidden (same rest stop.)

This is my third holiday cache hidden. Starting with the Easter cache, we'll be leaving these caches out year round. Next we'll place Halloween in a new spot, then later Christmas and we'll have them all available year round! (Hopefully we'll get those out about a month before the holidays as we originally planned.)

I chose this location because when Comet Horse and Miss Cheetah were younger, we'd drive here at night and let them run around in the area between the building and the pine trees. It proved to be a good park for them at night due to the others being closed.

Now being geocachers, we ventured farther in past the pine trees and discovered trails. You can take the trail to get to the cache. It is a bit off of the main trail, although it won't be hard to reach the cache.

If you go after this cache and bring dogs. Watch for kids--if they quickly approach and say "Can I pet your dog?," be sure to ask if they're Comet Horse or Miss Cheetah! Maybe we'll be there on a maintenance trip... or just playing around at the rest stop. Not many dogs get away from these two!
