A short walk on mostly paved paths. The last 20 feet
(approximately) is level ground but is dirt and not paved. We
believe that this will still be wheel chair accessible.
The city of Lakeview is developing this park with its wandering
walking trail. Along the trail are volunteer-worked gardens. One of
these gardens has been adopted by the cachecrazies. And of course,
the first thing the crazies planted in their garden is this cache.
There is no need to wander into the flowers however as the cache
can be reached (even by wheelchair) without going into the garden
itself. Cache is in a clear plastic container with teal colored lid
- but is camouflaged. Please feel free to pull a few weeds while
you're here
Our thanks to Mayor Lloyd Travis, Cathy, Chris and the City of
Lakeview who encouraged us to spread geocaching to their city and
helped us pick out a garden site. This will be Lakeview's first
cache.
This town is a fisherman's haven - nestled in the Arkansas
Ozarks. It sits quietly - ajoining the beautiful Bull Shoals Lake
and just a stones throw away from the White River. Nearby is a
wonderful campground operated by the Corp of Engineers. The area
offers so much hospitality and recreation that you may be tempted
to spend the weekend instead of just passing through while caching.
If you do, just sit back and enjoy a very beautiful part of the
Natural State. If you're here near Christmas time, be sure to visit
Wishing Star Park - also a community effort run on donations.
