Located in Stickney Run Conservation Area. The cache site is less than a 1/4 mile from the parking lot.
The cache is located in a little known park that is full of wonderful things to see and do. While placing the cache we saw a deer, herons, rabbits, a turtle, and several species of butterflies. The name of the cache comes from the numerous blackberry bushes throughout the park. The conservation area contains a large pond and one of the best examples of a graminoid fen in the state. There are benches along the trails to sit and view the wildlife, as well as a picnic area near the entrance.
Park at N42:18.334 / W088:15.713 The trails branch off into two directions. You are looking for a 30 cal ammo can.
After finding the cache you are encouraged to explore the rest of this fine park. The other branch of trails contains the forementioned graminoid fen. The fen is a wetland fed by an alkaline water source, such as a calcium spring. High levels of magnesium and calcium raise the soil pH, creating a home for rare animal and plantlife not normally seen elsewhere. For history buffs, at the end of this trail is a small family cemetary where one of the original settlers of McHenry, Adam Mosgrove in 1834, is buried. Please be respectful of this historic site.

+ Do not place food, inappropriate, offensive or hazardous materials in the cache
+ Remain on designated trails: no bushwacking allowed
+ Site is open sunrise to sunset: some gates not open until 8AM
+ Site may only be accessed thru the main entrance for the park.
+ Visitors must observe all rules of the MCCD site
