Geocache Description:

On the Greek island of Kephalonia in the castle of Agio Georgios (St. George)

This cache is located within an archaeological site and is therefore precluded from being a physical (traditional) cache. Hidden within the walls of St. Georges castle on the island of Kephalonia is a round tower. When you have
located the tower, stand in the centre and face towards the largest aperture (probably the one through which you entered), to claim the cache email me the name of the town which is directly in front of you (don't enter it in the log as this would spoil things for others). Then check out the fabulous views from the castle walls. Difficulty is low as you can drive practically to the castle gates. Take some water as it can be very hot. The Greek name for this castle is "Ayio Georgios" which means "St. George" in case you were confused.

The opening hours are subject to change - A recent visitor reports that
the castle is open every day except Tuesdays 08:30 to 15:30 - Tuesday closed all day.
Last entrance 15:00.

I lost interest in geocaching several years ago but retained my two virtual caches because they are no longer allowed and hark back to the days when they were intended to attract visitors to places of interest that they may otherwise have overlooked.
Sadly now people seem to be more concerned with the numbers than anything else and I grow weary of the incessant demands of many (usually Premium members who should know better) to be allowed to log the caches even though they have failed to fulfil the stated requirements.
I take no pleasure in debating the finer points of geocaching with these dullards and each one brings me closer to abandoning the caches for good.
