Geocache Description:

Along the bank of the Flambeau River.

This cache is a nice quick walk from the parking lot. No need for a boat here to find the cache. This portion of the Flambeau River is beautiful and a good place to do some fishing for Smallmouth Bass and Muskie. This is a traditional green ammo box cache. You may want some bug spray as the flies mosquitos can be bad in summer. Spring and Fall will be very nice. Hope you enjoy this great river. You can hike up river to see the dam, and if you have a boat there is some great canoeing and fishing down the river. This is a river for experienced canoers though as there are some good fast rapids with large boulders. In the cache are some toys, flashlight, light sticks, fishing lures and dog training clickers. Have a good trip! There is also a cache nearby on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage not to far from here but would require a boat, or some hiking from this location.
