Geocache Description:

I recently adopted this cache from my friend Scott. He placed this almost 12 years ago, so anything that survives that long, should have a special place. I opted to keep the original listing, instead of archiving and placing a new cache. Plus, I get to tell you a little story about Scotty. Scotty started working with me about a year after I started geocaching. He was really intrigued by the whole thing, so we would spend our lunches, and breaks looking for what few caches popped up each week. The only problem for Scotty was, he was petrified of snakes, and most of the caches back then involved something on a trail. Well, it's no secret that I am a prankster, and scaring people is something that brings me more joy than it probably should, but it is who I am. So, as we would be walking along, and Scotty had his eyes glued to the ground, I would often grab a yucca stalk that still had some dry seeds left in the pods, and give it a shake. It resembled a rattlesnake! The result was always the same, Scotty would jump out of his shoes, look at me with wide eyes, and yell multiple expletives. And I, well, I would laugh and laugh and laugh!. I did it so often that I referred to it as "The Rattlesnake Shake" So in honor of adopting Scotty's cache, I renamed it to honor our days of lunchtime romps through the hills.

I kept the original listing for this cache, you can read it below.
