Located in the southern Black Hills, a short steep climb with beautiful views. Approaching from the south is the best way and offers views that make the pillars look like a profile of a man. The drive is not meant for a family car. A 4-wheel drive or vehicle with higher clearance is suggested. We moved the cache from the original location due to safety issues in retrieving the cache. It will be an easier way to get to the cache.
Henry Ward Beecher, the famous New England minister and reformer, was on trial in 1876 for adultery and the newspapers spared no detail. Although acquitted, he was commemorated by naming these huge pinnacles in his honor. This formation was shown as "Turk's Head" on the Custer Expedition maps. The cache is well hidden - please re-hide it well. It is a medium sized tupperware container.
