Located on the west side of town, this easy cache is a great
introduction to the Key City . . . well, at least it used to be the
"Key City"!!
A good starting point would be the information kiosk that faces the
turn off to Jim Smith Lake. You can follow the path for almost all
of the hunt. We created this theme cache as the location is at the
entrance to the Key City of the East Kootenays. It does not contain
keys, but it did originally contain key chains. Original contents:
. log book, pencil, sharpener . 15 assorted key chains
Since the initial placing, Cranbrook has stopped calling itself the
Key City of the East Kootenays . . . oh well - the name and theme
remains the same!
