Geocache Description:

Please note: This is a sensitive wildlife habitat. Stay on marked trails. There is NO need to bushwhack or trample ANY brush. If you find yourself in a situation where you are tempted to leave the trail… STOP! This cache can be easily obtained from the trail. I repeat… DO NOT TRAMPLE BRUSH… STAY ON THE TRAILS!!!

My thanks to Otis Pug and his “Cache of Robert Jordan” cache, for had I not come to solve that delicious puzzle, I would not have found this location. I had searched for a location for this cache for almost a year… to no avail… and then the Pug hands it to me on a silver platter (so to speak).

IMPORTANT! The following poem should be all you need to find this cache:

I stand alone; connected though
To all my brothers, to and fro.

We stand to make the equine race
More apt to follow bit and trace.

You want a clue… I’m sensing that
From underneath my peaked, white hat.

Make me tip my hat to you;
The only way… silver to view.

Lift the silver from its lair,
To find my red cap lurking there.

Give my red cap but a twist,
Then add your name onto the list.

Now just reverse what you have done,
Perpetuating caching fun.

-----

The cache container is a 3-inch diameter jar, 5 inches deep. It originally contained the following great stuff:

Logbook
Logbook pencil (from Costa Mesa Caching Club?)
A bag of Tetra Tops (with instructions)
An antique mechanical pencil
A magic trick (I couldn’t resist)
A monocular (like a telescope; with prisms) VERY COOL!
A ROLLighter highlighter pen (Extra-double cool)
A green mug (purportedly stolen from a leprechaun)
A spring (from a defunct robot)
3 golden coins from Aladdin’s treasure

For the fun of the game, PLEASE take the time to re-hide this cache EXACTLY as you found it!
