This is a two part cache, Traditional and Virtual This is a nice easy hike bring the hole Family Do Not leave the trail until you reach the pillers.
Follow signs to the Nature Center off route 243 in Ansonia. The Nature center is opened from 9am to 5pm to view the wild life inside and this is were the trails begin.
Parking coordinates are N41°20.713 W073°03.235.
This center has a beautiful park the kids will love. It is opened until sunset.
There is a lot of history in the area as well.
After you leave the park you will hike past the old Nike sight, which is now a horse farm, to the last settlement of the Paugassett Indians. Please enter the Village between the pillers and take note of the date of the village. Then locate a large ammo can full of goodies. E-mail the date of the village to me "BobSr." DO NOT put it in your log entry.
