Cow Head is a beautiful community with a world class view of both the ocean and mountains. Recently, Cow Head has played home to the Gros Morne Theatre Company which has been earning rave reviews for showing off local talent in a great location.
We discovered that the Theatre Company has helped develop a new outdoor ampitheatre and the community has developed a new hiking trail immediately behind/above the stage.
The hike is easy - thick packed gravel - and not too steep. But when you reach the top be prepared to be amazed at the view! Everywhere that you look is a jaw-dropping experience - enjoy!
The cache is a large bucket that has been cammo-painted. It is reasonably well hidden just past the lookout and in the nearby trees.
When placed, the cache contained:
- waterproof match box
- carabiner with compass
- first aid kit
- geocaching. com compass
- deck of cards
- red wolf fishing lure
- Flash - the Travel Bug
- bungee cord
- hacky sac
- jacks
- Harry Potter stickers
- Log book, 2 pencils, sharpener
Please make sure that the lid is on tight and the cache well hidden! Also, we do not have access to a printer, thus the manifesto is not included (instead, we wrote most information about geocaching in the log book). If the first finder would be so kind to bring one we'd be in your debt!
