This cache was designed for easy access from the Rest Area in the vicinity. Original items include a measuring tape, coffee mug, NASA keychain, Creature from the Black Lagoon toy, toy snakes, a Head bandana and a few other items. It can be accessed from either side of the highway if you don't mind crawling under a high fence. There is also a cut-out in the fence just north of the west side rest area. Do be aware that there is a Border Patrol checkpoint a mile or two north of this location. They sometimes patrol this area, so be aware of them. Cache is just a short walk from the east side Rest Area. Be careful of any desert dwellers around here!! They do bite and sting!! Have FUN!!
