I used to make an occasional cameo in the tiny little hamlet known as Addison. My college friend, Roast Beef, and his family use to call Addison home.
I'm not going to call Addison a one-horse town, that would be too generous! Actually this town -- while somewhat abandoned by the business and retail sector in favor of destinations north and south on Highway 127 -- serves as the educational hub of the greater Addison area. Their is plunty of lerning happenning in Addison.
The town park has a nice ballfield. Not far from the ballfield is an old stage that time forgot. It's a stone stage at the bottom of a short slope adjacent to what the locals would probably call Main Street. There's a tired sign at the top of this slope, commemmorating some historical moment in time. Both the sign and stage will leave you wonderng what this town might have looked like decades ago, when the city might have had a parks department budget.
The container is hidden in this park. It should be easy to find. Please be sure to re-hide it well, and use stealth, should it be necessary.
The initial contents should all be gone by now. There is a pencil and log sheets included. Please limit your logs to names and dates only. I couldn't find one of those cute, micro-notebooks, so I made log sheets for this container, which is smaller than your typical whipped topping container. Make sure you have small items to trade.
The Roast Beef family singers are a lot like the Partridge Family, but completely different. They happily performed any required cache maintenance that was brought to my attention, but they no longer live nearby. The family is now on tour, living out of a multi-colored school bus. Thankfully we have a solo artist, PapaDe, to provide cache maintenance and an occasional concert at the old stage. Check his Web site for his summer concert schedule.
The hiding of this cache served as a reminder of an important fact about Addison: I'M GLAD I DON'T LIVE THERE! (But I enjoyed my visits, and look forward to my next trip to Michigan, whenever it may be.)
