The cache is located in a part of the Partridge Run Wildlife Management Area in southern Albany County. It is located near, and named after, one of the handful of lakes and ponds that dot the 4600 acre WMA. This is a great area for canoeing, fishing, hiking, bird watching and our favorites: dog running and geocaching. Bonus! NYS WMAs and State Forests do not charge admission.
The cache is a steel ammo box which started out with a little something for everyone and has changed over time, not necessarily for the better.
Log book, pen and pencils are in place and functional. Feel free to bring items of use or interest to others for trade or gifting to others.
Coordinates may be a little rough. It took us six tries before we got what appeared to be a useable mark. Additionally, we placed the Travel Bug Rocky back in circulation with this cache.
Park at N 42 34.228 W 074 10.564.
