This is an easy (training) cache for Sunriver visitors. It is located on typical high desert terrain.
The cache is in a metal box. The best way to get to this cache is to walk or bike. If you have to drive, note that parking is not permitted on any Sunriver streets. You can park just north of the gate posts on the gravel road that leads to the Sunriver canoe pickup. This is near Circle 7 at N 43 54.850, W 121 26.209. From this parking spot, you can then travel slightly north and then walk or mountain bike east on the new, paved, Lava Sun Trail through the National Forest. Thanks to Tucker's Trio for the inspiration for this cache. It has been continuously available since 2003. If you have not noticed, there are a lot of traffic circles in Sunriver, numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11.
