jeff-trex: CACHE HAS BEEN REMOVED

must have just missed the last cacher. I had arrived by water at around dinner hour. there was a houseboat havinf dinner right by the park.

I have wanted to redo this cache as it is such a nice little park and wanted to bring people back for another visit. I have removed the cache and it is in it's new location. I have also changed it to a multi. to make people hike the whole trail.

Looks like wandering wheels signed the last page in the log so it was good that I made a visit.

This was my second cache placement and has been in place for 4 years (july 2003).

The new multi in in place just have to list it and wait till it is approved. I have also placed another multi across the narrows as well.

Geocache Description:

Elevation 242m
WATCH FOR POISON IVY IN THE AREA!! There are a few plants around the hiding spot.

The cache is a cylindrical shaped red container with a green geocaching sticker. Cache has 4" diameter opening so bear this in mind with what you want to trade. The original contents are:

1. log book pen and pencil
2. jackknife case
3. assorted mcdonald's toys
4. eyeglass retainer
5. 2 AA batteries
6. Travel Bug "Carrie's Ark"
7. headphones

The Otonabee Region Conservation Authority has given me approval to place a cache here, but has requested that cachers please do not block the private driveway. Use caution entering and exiting on to the county road as it is very busy and has limited sight distance. there ample room to pull off the road way with out blocking the gates.

The cache can be found in the interior of the Conservation Area by following a loop trail of approximately 500m. Trail is well marked and relatively level. Beautiful area in mid-September for fall colours since it is a mixed forest. Trail may be skiied or snowshoed in the winter. No motorized vehicles are permitted inside the conservation area except for the cottagers that have controlled access.

At coordinates N44 28.304' W078 27.651' there is a good vantage point to view the pond. Excellent site for waterfowl and birds at the right season. Also look for evidence of beaver activity on the shoreline.

PLEASE RECOVER THE CACHE AS YOU FOUND IT!!
