Legendary Ball and Bat Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Max Cacher: Greetings from Geocaching.com

It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. So that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival, and I will unarchive your cache.

After we posted a note to you cache requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and sending us a note. We have no record of a response, and no response tells us that you are not planning on replacing, or repairing this cache if we are wrong with that assumption please let me know.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

Head on out to the ballpark! This easy 2 step multi-cache is located at the home of the Lexington Legends Baseball Team. You will need to find the object located at the coordinates above. You will find the coordinates to the final micro cache there.

The final cache is a small micro so please bring something to sign the log with.

For the first time in nearly 50 years, professional baseball is back in the Bluegrass. That means Lexington is no longer the largest city inAmerica without professional baseball.

The spectacular new Applebee's Park is the perfect blend of a nostalgic baseball stadium design with Kentucky inspired architecture. The 6,994 seat multi-use facility features a state-of-the-art jumbotron in the massive scoreboard that stands 7-stories high on top of a 16 foot wall in right center field. There are 26 skybox luxury suites, group outing areas like the Pepsi Party Deck on top of the right field wall and the Budweiser Stables Restaurant with its own seating section for 290-people. The stadium also features the first-ever Maker's Mark Club Restaurant, special family seating and picnic areas, a private family restroom, a supervised childrens' play area featuring a jungle-gym, carousel merry-go-round and inflatable speed pitch and much more.

Applebee's Park is nestled into an ideal north Lexington location adjacent to the Northland Shopping Center. The stadium is just minutes from both the I-64/I-75 interchange and downtown Lexington. It is only two blocks inside of New Circle Road. In addition to outstanding Minor League Baseball, Applebee's Park will play host to a variety of other events, including concerts, circuses, baseball tournaments, family shows, as well as civic, corporate and union events.

You will not need to enter the stadium to find this cache. However, there is a $3 parking fee if you search during a game. Check out the Legends schedule here.

Thanks to Mr. Durbin and the Lexington Legends for allowing me to place this cache

** You will not need to leave the paved area around the stadium to find this cache. Please do not venture beyond any fences.
