Geocache Description:

We were at the top of Chimney Rock and spotted the park that is on Lake Lure.

It is called the Lake Lure Municipal Park. There is a playground, ball fields, lots of picnic tables, and a place to take a boat ride (for a fee).

It is a beautiful place and we thought the perfect place for a cache. We had just come from doing the virtual on Chimney Rock and also Rocky River. So you could rack up 3 finds in one trip. Although carefully heed the warnings on Rocky River.

The cache is located less than 10 feet from the maintained area, so no bushwacking is required. It is .17 from where we parked.

Have fun and stay a while and enjoy the sights. The little shops in town looked interesting, their names were, too!
