Last Train to Clarksville

Words and Music by
Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart

Take the last train to Clarksville,
And I'll meet you at the station.
You can be there by four thirty,
'Cause I made your reservation.
Don't be slow, oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!

The Last train to Clarksville AR. was about the same time as this song's debut in the 1960's. The tracks were taken up in approximately 1985. In fact, the nearest train is over five miles away.

The station, however, remains today and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It now houses the Clarksville/Johnson County Chamber of Commerce.

This nano cache was placed with permission of the executive director of the chamber. (Permission reconfirmed on 4/12/12.) You will probably need a special tool to extract the logsheet. (A bent open paper clip should work fine!)
