Geocache Description:

It's finally happened. After winning the container at the Geocaching Picnic, I had no excuse to not put a cache. I've had the spot picked out for months...Actually since I started caching. So out FuR and I went. A little history about the area that I hid the cache in:

The Higinbotham Mansion was built in 1894 for $200,000. It had 35 rooms, a moat around the mansion with Japanese style bridges and many additional buildings connected. Mrs. Higinbotham was never comfortable living in the Mansion. (Urban legends say that one of her children died in an underground tunnel) After only 7 Months the house was abandoned. It was left to rot away until 1946 when it was demolished.

You can read the story in more detail on a plaque in front of the cemetary near this cache.

Original contents...well i don't really remember I know I did leave Unk's Claw from the bugathon in there with a variety of toys and a few items for the adults too. Have fun!
