Located near Lighthouse at Lobster Cove Head in Gros Morne National Park
Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse has guarded the approach to Rocky Harbour and the entrance of Bonne Bay since 1897. The light is still run by the Canadian Coast Guard, but it is now automated. The Lighthouse is open as a park interpretive exhibit. The exhibit shows how people use to live along this coast and harvest the sea for more that 4,000 years. Be sure to check it out before leaving the area. The exhibit is open to the public daily 10am to 6pm from mid May to mid October. Please bring a pen or pencil to sign the log.
