WARNING: Parking on Dexter Townhall road or Stinchfield Woods Roads may get you ticketed and towed...No Parking signs are prevelant there. If you ignore the signs and ill things happen I will only tell you "I told you so!"
Parking is plentiful at Silver Lake Beach. My siblings and I used to really enjoy swimming here during the hot summer months. Your GPS will tell you that the cache is 0.87 miles away, but it is actually 1.5 miles with all the twists and turns that the trail makes.
The cache is a highly camoflaged 1.5 gallon pretzel jar and is located 250 feet from the main trail. I averaged the location for several minutes, so coordinates should be pretty good. I even had decent satellite reception.
After you find the cache you may as well continue on the loop...it is 1.85 miles and much more scenic...or you can cop out and make the 1.5 mile hike back (wink wink).
