Located in Tucker Prairie, this cache requires a half mile walk across the prairie, so take water in the summer, coco in the winter, and wear long pants and boots year round!
Tucker Prairie is a 156 acre remnant of a vast tall grass prairie that once stretched across Missouri. The land has never been plowed, making it an important area for prairie species and research. The land belonged to the Tucker family for 125 years until it was purchased in 1957. It is now managed and maintained by the University of Missouri.
Please park at N 38 56.940 W 91 59.397 -here you will find a parking space and any easy way in the prairie.
THE TRAIL IS NOT MOWED, so if you bring little ones, make sure they’re little enough to carry on your shoulders.
