Árpád sovereign collected his army in the area of Sóskút before he conquer the western part of Hungary. At these times the village was called "Ad Fontein Salsum". Miklós Csáki's will (1231) is the first document from the history of the village. In 1330 Károly Róbert was the owner of the village. At the turkish era Sóskút started to improve. From the stones mined here they built bathes and turkish churches in the area.
