O2J: This unfortunately is the end of the road for Minninglow as the area was looking a bit ravaged by searching on my last visit and i considered archiving it then. It has gone missing twice previously under my stewardship so this is one time too many.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

An easy Micro Cache hidden on a high elevated embankment near Minninglow, on the High Peak Trail. Rating is based on cycling from Middleton Top. The caching area PMR comms channel is channel 2.As of March '09 a new container is in place. Please note, the walls are small and the drops are high. Not suitable for unsupervised children.

This is one of a number of Cache’s that are hidden either on, or very close by the High Peak Trail. The other caches are:

The High Peak Trail runs for 17.5 miles from High Peak Junction, near Cromford, to Dowlow, 6 miles south of Buxton. At Parsley Hay it is joined from the south by the Tissington Trail, which runs for 13 miles from Ashbourne. The Tissington Trail gives easy access to the following Caches:

The cache is best done on Mountain Bike, following the High Peak Trail. You can hire Mountain Bikes for a fairly reasonable fee (£6 for 3 hours) at Middleton Top if you wish.

As it is a micro, there is no room for a pen/pencil, so remember to bring one!!
