Park at Valco Ponds. Hike along the trail nearly to the boundary fence (about three quarters of a mile).
Well, our first cache at Valco was destroyed by drunken hooligans. But we still love the area, so we are going to try again. This time, the cache is smaller, better hidden (we hope), and further along the trail. The trail is overgrown in summer, so watch for poison ivy just off trail(though there's none within 20 yards of cache); and check your pups for ticks after the walk! Cache is 2x5x8 inch box, wrapped in dirt colored burlap. Our GPS only records 2 decimal places, so be prepared to look in a 40-50 foot radius (you are right between the river & a pond, so there aren't that many places to hide a cache). Please hide it well, after your visit. And as with the first cache here, enjoy the waterfowl, beavers, and other riparian delights!
