Mt Kaukau is the most visible high point in the Wellington landscape, further accentuated by the BCL TV transmitter mast. The cache can be accessed from a few different locations with varying walking times. We started at Johnsonville Park at the end of Truscott Avenue. Take the left track and don't forget to do Dancing Stream Cache on the way. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours return Accuracy ± 4 metres
Update August 2026: Look for the blue triangular predator trap marker at about shoulder height, this marks the start of the access track to the cache.
