Spectacular views of the city, harbour and the Rimutaka and Tararua Ranges. Note that while the cache was in the open when placed in 2003, it is now surrounded by scrub and protective clothing is recommended.
Mt Kaukau is the most visible high point in the Wellington landscape, further accentuated by the BCL TV transmitter mast. The cache can be accessed from a few different locations with varying walking times. We started at Johnsonville Park at the end of Truscott Avenue. Take the left track and don't forget to do Dancing Stream Cache on the way. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours return Accuracy ± 4 metres
