Timothy C. Henderson
Tim passed away peacefully at his home in Escondido on July 17th 2003 after a
courageous battle with cancer, his wife Jill by his side. Surrounded by loving
friends and family, Tim was an inspiration to all. He continued to "dance to the
music" until his final days.
Tim profoundly affected the life of every person he came in contact with. The
smile in his eyes and the gentle lilt in his voice gave him a casual and
approachable familiarity. His sense of humor, his welcoming demeanor, and his
sublime understanding of just how important to a conversation listening is will
all be missed. Tim cherished his wife, family friends and the community he
shared at home and at St. Bartholomew's. He also loved making things with his
hands in his woodshop, action movies with clearly defined good and bad guys (in
which the good guys always won.), fine cheeses, and olives. We will long recall
tim's "garage talks," in which his way of asking all the right questions, of
listening politely, and of sharing his own ideas, shined with well-reasoned grace
and proficiency. He will be remembered for his generosity to all, his commitment
to the spiritual covenant of marriage, and his pride in the accomplishments of
his children.
Tim is survived by wonderful wife Jill Henderson, his son, US Air Force Staff
Sergeant Frank W. Henderson (Farben), his daughter Lise Williams and husband
Craig, his daughter Jennifer Lockhart and husband Ross, his grandchildren Bram
and Aubrie Williams, and his mother-in-law Dodi Frost.
Tim has left us, but will never be forgotten. We have decided to place this
cache in his honor where fellow cachers can log in and we can visit and enjoy the memories. This is the second TCH cache as the first was lost in the wildfires of late 2003. Each of the original items in the cache has a special meaning to us and we hope that you enjoy finding it and Tim's memory adds a little something to your life as well.
