This is one of two caches located in a little known local park. Please be respectful to private property that is adjacent to this park & wildlife sanctuary.
My daughter and I discovered this little park while traveling a little dirt road adjacent to Balls Bluff Park. As stated earlier please be respectful to private property and use the designated road to get to a small parking area (N39 08.012 W077 32.099) for the park. When you get to the gate you must begin your quest on foot to reach the final cache.
(If you are coming from the park side - use Cache Aid cache for stream crossing.)
While scouting this area, we came across a 4-point buck and a 8 point buck. This is a peaceful hike and offers a variety of views.
As a side note when you get to the end – and look across you will see Harrison Island. The web page found at this link (visit link) tells what the future has in store for the largest island on the Potomac River.
Revision: Cache was re-hid in "high grounds" after Hurricane Isabel.
