The Leprechauns: The lamp post and sign where this cache was located are gone now. Just after I maintained the cache in June! Since I now live in Cincinnati, and I only visit Pittsburgh every two months or so for work, it's time to retire this cache after a good run of more than twenty years. Perhaps someone else can find a place to hide a durable cache at this high traffic, oft-changing tourist hot spot location. Thank you to all who visited.

Geocache Description:


Ride up the Monongahela incline from Station Square and admire the view from Mt. Washington. Then experience some elvin evil.

This cache is just a tiny nano. The hiding place is not spectacular, but the view of the city from Grandview Avenue more than makes up for it!

You do not need to do anything stupid or illegal to find this cache, like climb over a fence or scamper down the slope of Mt. Washington. You don't need to walk on private property - the cache is on the scenic side of the street. Hundreds of people walk within feet of this cache every day, as the view from up here is a major tourist attraction. Your biggest challenge will be to keep from being noticed while searching for the cache.
