Another I-5 rest stop that deserves your attention. (We always stop here when going Northbound to Oregon.)
This rest stop just North of Weed is cool for several reasons. First, it has a great view of Mt. Shasta and is perfect for pictures. Second, there's an airport (who doesn't love airports!?!). Third, the rest stop has some very nice information panels which explain the geology of the area and the "mystery mounds" (which we'll let YOU learn about)!
Now there's a geocache to sweeten the deal!
