Coal Post #69 Traditional Cache
Lactodorum: Hi, this looks suspiciously like the cache has gone. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check if it's there or not. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily unarchive it if/when it's found assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Inspired by the following links; (http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/leisure_heritage/corp_history/coal_posts.htm) & (http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/leisure_heritage/corp_history/coal_tax_posts.PDF) this is our sixth cache and one of the London Coal Post Series, our first granite obelisk, there are only another 197 or so Coal Posts to go!!!.
This one is a short 5 minute walk from the parking at the end of Packet Boat Lane, you'll know when you are at the car park because the road runs out!
Take the footpath south from the car park, up the hill until you cross the Grand Union Canal by bridge. You should now see Coal Post #69 down to your right. It's 2m high and made of granite, the first of this type in our series.
The cache is within 15m of the post, trust us.
