DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HUNT THIS CACHE! It has been removed completely! THERE ARE NO TRESSPASSING SIGNS POSTED as fo 08/17/04! Located in the village of Depew, NY. Rehm Rd. Park has several short hiking trails.
This cache is designed to challenge the Multi-Cache Masters .
NOTE: This park is open Dawn to Dusk only.
This cache was going to be called another name. Upon hearing the news, that a great cacher from WNY is relocating, out to the Pacific Northwest, I decided to rename it to A -=(Geo)=- Tribute .
Sometimes, we meet new people and become friends. Other times, we know of people, and never have met them, and wish we had. -=(Geo)=- is one of the latter. I learned so much about geocaching, from doing many of his caches. I therefore, dedicate this cache to -=(Geo)=- as a tribute for his teachings. Some of his cahes were easy and others tested you to your limit , but they were all in nice places. Thank You -=(Geo)=-.
This is a multi use area, besides the hiking trails, there are baseball diamonds and a golf driving area.
This cache is winter accessable. You could x-country or snowshoe this one as well. Please do not cross the drainage ditch at the southern end of the park, - it's private property.
This cache is designed to challenge the multi cache masters , it might be above and beyond your skills to take this challenge. You are more than welcome to try to solve this one. This cache is winter accessable as well.
This is a Geometric Scavenger Hunt of a sort. You will need to locate 3 permanent geometric objects, and calculate, to find the full size ( 50 cal. ) cache and solve this puzzle. NOTE: The prependiculars = lat, Linear's = long.
Each leg has two parts and will require you to count, and do some figuring, a calculator is not necessary. Bring a writting instrument and this sheet to do the figuring. The trails can be muddy and hold water at times, especially after a rain. Wear boots. I used the trails to hide the micro and final cache.
The starting coordinates are the parking area outside the gate, N 42°55.673 x W 078°42.460
1) Head south from the parking lot to the inner loop ring to start your quest.
2) Walk south from it 85 paces, ( from the south edge ), to find the 2nd object.
3) The second object is in view and is multi-level, count the perpendiculars _____, count the linear's _____ .
4) Walk the trails, to find the third object shape, count the perpendiculars _____, count the linear's _____.The numbers for the third object should be the largest ones used.
5) Walk the trails, find the fourth object shape, count the perpendiculars _____, count the linear's _____.
You now have the required numbers to replace the decimal portions of the latitude and longitude, in the decimal form, for the new coordinates, of the micro cache. The micro holds the coordinates to the final cache. Please put it back exactly the way you found it. Remember to trade fairly.
