Lactodorum: Hi, this looks suspiciously like the cache has gone. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check if it's there or not. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily unarchive it if/when it's found assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Geocache Description:

A very easy cache, close to parking and a station.

This is the scene of the infamous Rye House plot, as well as at one time being home to the Great Bed of Ware (visit link) We're not expecting you to assasinate anyone though (or sleep in a massive bed): just find our cache. It's close to the picnic area, so you might need to wait for a quiet moment.

You can look around inside the gate house, and I recommend visiting the neighbouring Rye Meads RSPB reserve (visit link)

There is parking, but it's easier to come by train. Rye House station in approximately 45 minutes from Liverpool Street (Hertford East branch line).
