This traditional cache is my first traditional cache. It is called
the copycat cache due to the fact that most of my geocaching has
been in the Burlington, NC area where I've been able to see what
some of the others have been using for their caches. I then
proceeded to shamelessly use similar containers as what I've seen
from my experiences.
My two sons and I hid this cache together in
Cooke park. **We chose the vegetative route, which really wasn't
too bad. There was some heavy tree cover and my accuracy wasn't
that great for the entire hike. I took six sets of coordinates
approaching the cache from different directions and used an average
of the six to get the final coordinates. Feel free to post your own
if you find they are significantly different. This cache is
starting out with: a mood ring, krazy string, rope watch, 1
wheresgeorge $, pack of AA batteries, temporary tattoos, flag
window stickers, 4 logo golf balls (Navy, Marine Corp, NSA, and
DOD, butane lighter, 1 Euro coin, 50 English Pence coin, 1 old
German D-Mark coin
There are two general approaches to this
cache:
You can choose the vegetative route, which isn't so
overgrown that it is a hassle, but it is the shortest way to get to
the cache
You can choose the path route, which will be longer, but
will require the least amount of scaling through the woody areas.
Coordinates to the path entrance: N36 04.351 W79 22.635 Please note
- Container has been switched out - now is a waterproof Ammo
box!
