The cache is located near a new playground which has nice equipment and portable toilets. Good place to leave noncaching family.
This is located in North Park. The name has been changed from the North Ridge Travel Bug Hotel due to the limited winter access. The rating has been increased to 3/3 due to the distance and number of waypoints. The suggested parking is at The North Ridge Road East Playground N 40 36.199 W 80 00.036. If North Ridge Drive is closed during the winter, you can park at N 40 35.871 W 79 59.815 and walk north on Pearce Mill Rd., past the barricades and up the hill on North Ridge Drive.
To learn the location of the cache, you have to find four waypoints. The first is located at N 40 36.515 W 80 00.202 and it will give you the location of the next one, and so on. The total distance traveled is just under two miles. The suggested route is to follow the trail next to the road but you can also walk on the road, or bushwhack, if you wish. If you are quiet, there is a very good chance that you will see some deer along the trail. The actual cache is fairly near the playground so it's possible to have anyone waiting at the playground to join you for the final find. Finding the four waypoints can be done on trail bikes but you need to leave them at the playground/car before heading for the cache location.
Water spigots are located (summer only) near the start at N40 36.206 W80 00.060 and near the halfway point of the walk at N40 36.666 W80 00.590.
