How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Fun for the whole family (especially kids) and of course free. A change of clothes for kids is recommended but not essential. Pets (dogs, etc) are allowed at this location.

Travel up the track, following your GPS to the location (by car, mountain bike, four wheel drive, or on foot) from the 90 degree bend in state highway 6 in the centre of Ross.
(If in doubt, veer left).

Stop and read the sign at S42 54.290 E170 48.769. This will tell you what the rules are and give you an indication of what you're there for.

I have hidden the tool that you will need (a round bowl shaped object) in a tree up the top of a small bank, 10 paces magnetic East from the huge rock in the middle of the stream at the cache co-ordinates.

Only read the hint if you are prepared to spoil the surprise. (The hint explains what the mystery is, it doesn't help you find the object or enjoy the location).

Please return the object to it's original location after use.

There is a small cache with a logbook and pencil hidden under the object so that you can log your experience. (It is sufficient just to find the object, it's up to you whether or not you use it).
