On an island in the James River, accessible by boat. Formerly a subscriber-only cache.
Grab your favorite kayak, inner tube, or pair of water wings and take a float down the scenic James River, a wilderness paradise right in the heart of metropolitan Richmond.
The cache is a clear light duty tupperware container, marked with a green Geocaching.com sticker.
Original contents include:
*Ene-man
*AA batteries
*Some other stuff that I forgot to write down
This cache placement was not planned very far in advance and I grabbed the only tupperware container that I had, the light duty kind. These usually don't last too long in the elements so I'd appreciate it if someone would upgrade it to something a bit heavier. I'll do it on a subsequent visit if no one else has.
Please be careful on the river and DO NOT ATTEMPT if the water is too high. On the day of placement the Westham water gauge read just over five feet. I placed it via boat so I'm not sure if the island is accessible over the rocks at low water levels. Again, PLEASE BE CAREFUL.
