Geocache Description:

A fairly easy cache along the Foothills Trail. Great cache to ride your bike to.

This cache is located along the Foothills Trail. It is part of the Rails to Trails movement. It is a 12 foot wide non-motorized asphalt linear park/trail suitable for bicycles, walking, in-line skates and wheelchairs. It also has a soft shoulder path for horses. Eventually, when completed, the trail will extend from Puyallup through Orting and South Prairie to Buckley. It will also branch off from outside South Prairie to Wilkeson and Carbonado. Eventually, future extensions will include the Interurban trail in King County to the north, Mt. Rainier National Park to the South, and Tacoma and Gig Harbor to the west. Now, back to the cache. I would recommend parking at the McMillin trailhead which is along highway 162, this will provide a ride of about 5 1/2 miles each way. You could also park at the Orting trailhead, about 2.2 miles closer if you wanted. Or, you can park about 200 yards away and walk to it, it is really up to you. It is a great path, basically completely flat, well marked, and often times alongside the river. The terrain is only a 1 1/2 because of the distance. It should probably just be a 1, as it is basically flat the whole way.

This cache is an American Flag themed cache.

It is a fairly small tupperware type container, so don't bring anything too big to trade. Try to stick to the theme, if you can.
