Park at the Victoria Valley – Mount Abrupt Road junction carpark. Although the cache is only 1km away, the track takes more like 3km to get there. Signs at the start of the track advise a 3 hour return trip time. Check here for the lastest track conditions. At our very leisurely pace, we took 4½ hours. On the day we were there, the Flame Heath (an emu delicacy) was in full flower, along with Bearded Heath, Hibbertia and several kinds of Grevillea. Quite a few wallabies were around as well.
You will need to BYO pen, although a pencil is provided. As usual, please ensure the cache is well covered again as protection from the elements before you leave. Please also ensure that the camo is not resting directly on the container, so as to prolong its life.
