The coordinates above will take you to the entrance of Big Creek Park on Robinson Rd. Follow the signs to the Deep Woods shelter house.
This is an all day event. BYOP (bring your own picnic lunch and/or supper). Chardon is very close to the park and has many fast food restaurants, pizza joints, and a few local restaurants. Info on these eateries will be available at the picnic if you don't want to pack your own picnic.
Emphasis will be on fun and fellowship with a bit of competition. Plan on arriving anytime after 9 AM. The park doesn't close until 11 PM.
Bring your travel bugs. We will have a Travel Bug Exchange Table. You can log your drop off before leaving home with a note on the cache listing page.
Schedule:
- Arrive any time after 9AM
- 9AM - 4PM: Start times for the 60 Minute Challenge
- On-going games: Map game for kids, Map game for adults; pick up games of Capture the Flag, and Fox-N-Hounds
- Seek 15 local caches within 10 miles of downtown Chardon, including one in this park (search on the 44024 zip code)
- Noon: Lunch
- 5PM: Last return for a 60 Minute Challenge Team
- 6PM: Dinner and awards
- Night caches are being planned

There is a playground right next to the shelter for the kiddies, electric lights, a few electric outlets, 3 regular grills and one double sized grill. Rest rooms are handicapped accessible. Bring your FRS radios, bug spray, and sun screen.
